Health authorities here have recorded two additional cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), increasing the total tally to 237 as of July 5.

The additional cases—ZC236 and ZC237—are former inmates who are undergoing quarantine at the Ecozone facility before integration to the community, the local Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Covid-19 said Monday.

Meanwhile, the task force said that one additional mortality was recorded when ZC215 died Saturday due to pneumonia.

The task force earlier said ZC215, 76, was admitted at a private hospital on June 27 for acute coronary syndrome with pneumonia and bronchial asthma.

As of Monday, authorities said the city has eight mortalities recorded.

The task force said that of the 237 cases recorded, 174 have recovered while the remaining 55 are active cases. (PNA)
