The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) requires the mandatory wearing of face shield within its camp premises to control the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) among the police front-liners in the province.
In an interview Thursday, PPPO director Col. Redrico Maranan said that before the cases of Covid-19 began to pile up, personnel within the police provincial command have been religiously observing the minimum health protocols, and the face shield requirement is just an additional.
“Aside from the mandatory wearing of face masks and observing social or physical distancing, there is now a need to wear a face shield,” he said.
Maranan said the PPPO has also been implementing flexible work schedules for its personnel, such as work-from-home and 50-percent workforce while some are under the four-day compressed workweek.
Fourteen police personnel of the PPPO and one non-uniformed personnel have acquired the virus but are already fully recovered. They are just completing the 14-day strict mandatory home quarantine before they could go back to their work. (PNA)
