The peace and order situation greatly improved under the Duterte administration, according to Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Monday.

In an interview during the groundbreaking ceremony for the modernization of the Manila Science High School along Taft Avenue, Domagoso said the fight against the illegal drug problem is felt in communities.

“I think President Duterte, in one way or another, successfully restored peace and order situation in our country. We have to give it to him,” Domagoso said, hours before the sixth and last State of the Nation Address.

Despite all the odds, Domagoso said Duterte has achieved so many things.

“Nobody is perfect anyway. Not even the past administrations, nor the present public officials that include the Vice President and even me,” he added.

What matters most, according to the mayor, is that Filipinos work together for the greater good.

“Kailangan nating tulungan ang ating national government at patuloy tayong tumulong sa national government para ma-survive natin itong (We need to work with the government and continue to help the national government so we can survive the) remaining months before we get to choose the next leader,” Domagoso said.
