Content creator Mimiyuuuh released a video on her social media platforms explaining the real intention behind her advice about never dating someone without money.

On July 4, the influencer disclosed her own sentiments regarding her advice during an interview with a lifestyle magazine pertaining to getting involved in relationships.

In the video, Mimiyuuuh explained that she’s not saying to date extremely rich people, such as millionaires. Rather, she advises dating someone who has the determination to be self-sufficient.

“Mag-date kayo ng someone na may drive, mag-date kayo ng someone na kayang dalhin ‘yung sarili, ‘yung hindi mangungutang at aasa sa inyo,” she said.

Following the comments of netizens regarding her economic status, Mimiyuuuh emphasized in the video that her priority is to make herself whole before being responsible for another person in her life.

“Galing po ako sa hirap, opo. Pero nakipagdate po ba ako noong wala akong pera? Hindi po. Alam ko po kasi ‘yung priority ko during that time,” she explained.

The content creator also added that her advice is intended to serve as a reminder to complete yourself first before dating and not be dependent on them for your needs.

Mimiyuuuh’s statement was then supported by netizens and co-influencers, who agreed with what she had explained about entering dating life.

“I 100% agree with you mami!! I think ang hirap sa Pinas eh napaka-foreign ng concept ng selfishness and championing yourself and your growth. As someone who is self-made, you dictate how you want to spend your money,” a netizen commented.

The viral statement by the content creator was made after a lifestyle magazine released her interview. In the said segment, she stated that she learned many lessons about her dating era.

“Yan ang aking lesson learned. Never ever date someone na walang pera. Dapat kasi stable ka muna sa sarili mo bago ka magdagdag ng tao sa buhay mo,” she disclosed.
