The Philippine Air Force (PAF) and its counterparts from the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) delivered much-needed relief supplies to storm-battered Calaguas Island in the province of Camarines Norte.

In a statement Monday, PAF spokesperson Col. Ma. Consuelo Castillo said both air services used their “Black Hawk” helicopters to transport the family food packs provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to the island’s residents on Nov. 2.

“This mission underscores the strong partnership between the Philippines and Brunei Darussalam, demonstrating their commitment to regional security and humanitarian assistance,” Castillo said.

She added that the mission is in collaboration with the Philippine Army’s ground troops and personnel from the DSWD-5 (Bicol) and the Office of Civil Defense.

“Through collaborative efforts, the PAF and AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines) as a whole ensure that those in need receive the necessary assistance promptly,” Castillo said. (PNA)
