Cabinet Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr. has assured business leaders that the government will further strengthen the implementation of the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Act to accelerate government services and attract more investments.

Meeting with leaders of major business organizations on Tuesday, Abalos said the Office of the Cabinet Secretary (OCS) is committed to helping address regulatory bottlenecks by coordinating directly with concerned government agencies.

“Ang sabi ng Pangulo, (The President said) we are opening Malacañang. The doors are open for everyone,” Abalos said.

He said the OCS serves as a conduit between the government and the private sector, ensuring that concerns raised by businesses are brought to the appropriate agencies for prompt action.

The business delegation presented proposals to improve government processes, facilitate investments, and strengthen public-private sector collaboration.

Abalos also emphasized the need for practical, time-bound solutions while balancing economic development, environmental protection and public welfare in government decision-making.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Philippine Exporters Confederation Inc., Philippine Stock Exchange Council of Leaders, Employers Confederation of the Philippines, International Chamber of Commerce Philippines, Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Ease of Doing Business Philippines Foundation, Buklod Bayani Coalition, Women’s Business Council Philippines and the Philippine Association of Legitimate Service Contractors.
