A health official said Covid-19 restrictions could be lifted if the country is able to increase its vaccination capacity, especially for booster shots.
All adults aged 50 years old and above and individuals aged 18 years to 49 years with comorbidities, can now receive a second booster of the Covid-19 vaccine.
About 71 million Filipinos are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus and over 954,000 Filipinos have received their second booster shot, a health official said.
