Production on season 6 is already underway, and the show is swapping its Parisian rooftops for a new Mediterranean backdrop. Netflix has confirmed that filming is taking place in Greece, the destination that season 5 pointed toward when Gabriel sent Emily an invitation to meet him there following her breakup with Marcello.
Star had previously teased the Greece storyline, hinting that Gabriel’s invitation opens the door for the two to remain in each other’s lives in a meaningful way, setting up what could be a full-circle ending for the show’s central love story.
Emily in Paris has been a consistent performer for Netflix since its surprise debut. The series has spent a combined 32 weeks on Netflix’s Global Top 10 English TV chart and reached number one in 90 countries.
