Singer-songwriter-producer Gab Tagadtad reminisces on the innocence and beauty of young love in his new single, “First Time.”

He wrote the track about one’s first experience of falling in love—from skipping class for spontaneous dates, comforting each other during tough times, to sharing the first hug or kiss. The latest StarPop release also serves as a reminder to cherish every moment with their loved ones.

Gab’s creative vision and talent for making music led him to work with various OPM artists, including BGYO, Inigo Pascual, KZ Tandingan, and more. He received accolades such as Songwriter of the Year at the 2017 Filipino Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, Inc. (FILSCAP) and 2020 Awit Awards Song of the Year for co-writing KZ’s “Imposible.” The multi-instrumentalist is also the frontman of Manila-based pop alternative-rock band [gab].

In 2018, he sang “Gusto Ko Lamang Sa Buhay” as part of the soundtrack of “I Love You Hater.” Gab dropped his first extended play (EP) “Bulong Ng Madaling Araw” in 2022, which features the tracks “Sakin Ka Lang Tumingin” and “Madaling Araw.”
