The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) reported that five roads in three provinces are closed to traffic as of Wednesday.

In a road advisory at 10:00 a.m., the DPWH-CAR said the road section at Barangay Dibagat in Kabugao town, Apayao province was closed to traffic since Monday afternoon and still being cleared of debris due to a landslide.

The Conner-Kabugao road at Lutuacan, Kabugao is still closed due to mudslide. Clearing operations will resume once the condition is safe.

The Claveria-Calanasan-Kabugao road is also closed due to a series of mudflow, and soil collapse in Namaltugan and Dallawas sections in Calanasan town. Clearing operations in the areas affected will resume once the grounds are stable.

The DPWH-Advisory also said the Tabuk-Banawe via Tanudan-Barlig road in Barangay Matteled Dupligan in Tanudan town, Kalinga province is also closed to traffic due to a damaged concrete cement pavement and gutter, and another section along the stretch due to a sunken pavement.
The Cudal-Gombuwoy provincial road has been designated as the alternate road.

Kennon road that connects Rosario, La Union to this city remains closed to vehicular traffic and is only accessible for residents in the area.

The public has been advised to take alternate roads like Marcos Highway, Naguilian Road, and the Asin-San Pascual Road.

As of 11:00 a.m., the country’s weather bureau said Tropical Storm Ulysses further intensified. The southern portion of Benguet — Bokod, Itogon, Tublay, La Trinidad, Tuba, Sablan, and Baguio City are under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) no. 2, while the provinces of Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Abra and the rest of Benguet are under TCWS no. 1.
