The city government here distributed on Wednesday disinfectants, face masks, face shields and other hygiene kits at the Tarlac City Jail to ensure the protection and safety of the persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

The city government, through the cooperation of the Tarlac City Tourism Council and Junior Chamber International (JCI)-Tarlac City, provided the PDLs some 50 gallons of disinfectant, 25 gallons of alcohol, 600 face shields, 600 washable face masks, 10 boxes of disposable face masks, two units battery sprayer, five alcohol dispensers and 100 pieces of soap.

Mayor Cristy Angeles thanked those who extended help and support for PDLs in this time of pandemic.

“Patunay na buhay na buhay ang bayanihan sa siyudad ng Tarlac at nagkakaisa sa pakikipagtulungan upang lalong patibayin at palakasin ang ating laban kontra Covid-19 (It is a proof that bayanihan is very much alive in Tarlac City and are working together to strengthen our fight against Covid-19),” Angeles said in her official social media account.
