Congratulations! This is the article just for you. Read on to find mind-tickling events happening just around the corner: from RIGHT NOW up until July 2019.

1. Spectre of Comparison (MCAD), Tuesdays-Sundays until July 20

Feeling like refining your sensibilities and immersing yourself in culture? The Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD), the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Office of Senator Loren Legarda are exhibiting Lani Maestro’s and and Manuel Ocampo’s ‘The Spectre of Comparison,’ curated by Joselina Cruz; this is the Philippines’ official entry for the 57th Biennale di Venezia, an annual and international exhibition of the vanguards of contemporary art.

In this exhibit, Maestro and Ocampo depict their perspective of the Philippines and their adopted countries: they can neither see the Philippines nor Europe except in light of each other, producing the effect of a “double vision”.

This exhibit will be showcased from Tuesdays to Sundays until July 20. While you’re already in MCAD, catch free screenings in the MCAD Multimedia Room: Nostalgia for the Light will show on June 15, Where Is the Friend’s Home will show on June 29, and both will be screened at 3pm.
