Filipinos are known for supporting a lot of world advocacy and campaigns and some showbiz personalities put their influence to good use. They don’t only endorse their movie projects or magazine photo shoots but they harness their fame and star power to initiate and create a worthwhile and effective dialogue about the advocacy that is closest to their hearts.

These 10 Pinoy celebrities are brave and kind enough as they voice out their support to non-profit organizations, firm their stand against human rights issues, and confidently participate in charity campaigns.

1. Anne Curtis – UNICEF

The advertising model, actress, and ‘It’s Showtime’ host has been actively supporting UNICEF since 2009. In fact, Anne was officially declared as the organization’s Celebrity Advocate for Children in March 2017.

She launched the “Heroes for Children Run” in 2015 to help fund UNICEF’s 1,000 Days of Life campaign that benefits children and promotes health and nutrition during their first 1,000 days on Earth.

Anne also had her very first talk at the Global Youth Summit for UNICEF last year and spoke about the Sustainable Development Goal number 4, Quality Education.

I did it! Just finished my very first talk at this years Global Youth Summit for UNICEF. I spoke about SDG 4 – Quality Education.. I highlighted one target in particular, “By 2030, ensure that all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development, care and preprimary education so that they are ready for primary education.” ? Hope I was able to get the message out of how important early childhood development is. Thanks to all the students for their contagious energy! (Check out my ig live video) It helped control my nerves! Much love to all of you!!!! Remember YOU can be the change to make this world a better place for children. ? @unicefphils Thank you again SM Cares and the Global Peace Foundation for inviting me. #GlobalYouthSummit2017 #GlobalYouth4SDGs
