3. Orange Is The New Black

Another great and astounding Netflix original series, Orange Is The New Black (OITNB), is an anthem to the people who fight for discrimination.

Beyond the fact that the show has its cast and characters portrayed in color, this show also touches topics on sexuality and body types. The series centers on the Piper, a bisexual, who thinks that sexuality is a spectrum.

The show has a lot of great gay characters and one amazingly portrayed transgender character that’s actually played by a real-life actor. OITNB is based on Piper Kerman’s memoir entitled “Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison,” which tells her story while she was at FCI Danbury, a minimum-security federal prison.
