Now we all know that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were the OG sweethearts before Hailey Baldwin came to the picture. From breaking up to getting together, dating other people then finding each other again – well, we thought it was the real deal. But just this month the Biebs and model, Hailey Baldwin sealed the deal by getting married to each other and how hard must it be for Gomez to see the man she once loved, be happy and in love with someone else.

She sings:
You promised the world / And I fell for it / I put you first and you adored it / Set fires to my forest / And you let it burn / Sang off-key in my chorus / ’Cause it wasn’t yours. / I saw the signs and I ignored it / Rose-colored glasses all distorted

All of which could be attributed to her past love. Even bestie Taylor Swift apparently cried when she heard the song. On an interview with Apple’s Beat radio host Zane Lowe, Selena said, “I played her the song, and I played it with her mom and dad, and I showed her the video, and her mom and Taylor started crying.” She also revealed that “it wasn’t because the song was emotional. It was just because the first thing they said to me was, ‘We’re so happy that you’re here. After seeing all of that, this is such a cool moment.’ And that’s a huge thing for me.”

But what do you guys think when she sang: “In two months you replaced us/ Like it was easy/ Made me think I deserved it.” Is it about Justin or is it about her past loves in general?
