Philippine Airlines (PAL) will offer nonstop flights between Manila and Perth, Australia beginning March 30, 2020, the carrier announced.

Using an A321 aircraft, the new route will depart from Manila every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 12:05 a.m., and arrive at Perth Airport at 7:20 a.m. local time.

Perth-Manila service will leave Perth’s Terminal 1 International at 8:40 a.m. local time, and touch down in Manila at 3:50 p.m. on the same day.

“Our pioneer non-stop flights will allow us to vigorously promote the Philippines as a top-notch tourist experience for residents of Western Australia, and we look forward to extending our gracious Filipino hospitality to them from the moment they step onboard our brand-new planes,” said PAL Chief Sales and Marketing officer, Eugene Go, in a statement.

By taking a non-stop flight to Perth, travelers will save at least four and a half hours in travel time compared to taking other airlines that require a stopover and flight connections, the carrier noted.

Perth will be PAL’s fourth Australian gateway, apart from non-stop flights to Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

With the addition of Perth to PAL’s route, PAL will be offering a total of 19 weekly non-stop flights to the four destinations in Australia. (PNA)
