FPG Insurance Co., Inc., a major player in the non-life insurance industry and leader in motor insurance coverage, welcomes Gigi Pio de Roda as its new President and CEO effective January 6, 2020. In this role, Gigi takes the reins of the company’s flagship motor insurance, as well as the emerging portfolios for travel and residential insurances.

Gigi joins FPG Insurance from her recent role as Philam Life/AIA’s Chief Operations Officer (COO). Known in the industry for her transformation of business operations through complex executions and efficiency, Gigi is responsible for Philam Life/AIA’s digital revolution since 2017, where customer service and experience are at the core of its design.

“We gladly welcome Gigi to the FPG Insurance family and are very excited for the changes that she will be bringing into the company. FPG Insurance is looking forward to how she will charter the course for our Philippine business direction,” said Stephen Blasina, FPG Insurance Regional Managing Director.

Gigi is bringing in over 30 years of proven financial services expertise, having previously also served HSBC Philippines in various executive positions such as Chief Operations Officer, Senior Vice President and Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management, and Chief Risk Officer. She has a degree in Management of Financial Institutions from the De La Salle University, is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICDPh), and also serves as a professional executive coach.
