Airbnb or “staycations” have become the preferred type of accommodations in the past years because of its affordability despite being in the city. Guests are also given more opportunity to personally interact with the owners before renting out the place for a day or more.

However, this type of deals come in both ways. There is a set of house rules given by the hosts that basically asks for the occupants’ respect towards their temporary homes. Majority of unit owners require the tenants to leave the place tidy, prohibit them from smoking inside the room, and observe minimal noise in consideration to their neighbors.

Staycations offered in the Philippines are typically in the form of hotels, condominiums, houses, etc.

Facebook user Eurika Brondial Gaudiel, who provides staycation services, took to social media and showcased how her previous guest left her condo unit filthy.

“Ilang days nang walang rent yung condo ko dahil sa ginawa mo,” accused Gaudiel in a now-deleted post. “I warned you pero di mo ko pinapansin. Kung gusto mo talaga makipag-areglo, sana kinausap mo na lang ako.”

Turns out, the person in the hot seat is model, influencer, and GMA Talent named Greco Gonzales.

Soon enough, someone who claims to be Gonzales himself came to his defense on social media.

The self-proclaimed traveler explained that he did not try to get away and was willing to replace the damaged appliance, but the complainant demands a brand new 52″ inch TV—a different size compared to the 32″ LED TV in the condo unit.

He ended the statement that it is the owner’s intention to sabotage him by deliberately scattering trash straight from the garbage can.

After allegedly clearing his name, netizens still have mixed opinions on this controversy. Gonzales did not issue any further statements while Gaudiel has now deleted the viral post that garnered 800 shares before it was taken down.
