“Four Sisters and a Wedding” remains to be a classic movie that all Filipinos enjoy to watch over and over with their friends, family, and loved ones. With a very strong plotline, a stellar cast, quotable lines, and a touching story, the movie is hands down, one of the best family films the Philippines has ever produced.

Due to constant references by netizens on all social media platforms using the iconic lines, and memes of all the famous scenes of the said movie; the clamor has been heard— a prequel will be released soon.

Star Cinema announced earlier this year that the hit comedy-drama movie will definitely have a prequel movie that will focus on the lives of the four individually different sisters before their brother CJ’s wedding, during their teenage years.

The “Four Sisters Before The Wedding” is slated to be directed by Mae Cruz Alviar, who will be guiding a much younger cast: Alexa Ilacad will play Bea Alonzo’s ambitious character Bobbie; Gillian Vicencio will be Alex, Angel Locsin’s adventurous character; Charlie Dizon plays the humorous Teddie, formerly Toni Gonzaga; and Belle Mariano will be young and soft-spoken Gabbie, Shaina Magdayao’s role.

Despite the health protocols, the team still found a way to bring this wonderful concept to life, as confirmed by one of the main characters, Alexa Ilacad, through an Instagram post on October 10.

Fans can’t help but express their excitement on as the “Four Sisters and a Wedding” has definitely left a mark on them, as well as in the history of the Philippine film industry.
