Taguig Mayor Lino Cayetano on Thursday said the city is planning to activate three 24-7 vaccination hubs to ensure that all of its qualified residents are inoculated with coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines.

In a statement, Cayetano said one of the planned 24-7 vaccination hubs will be located at the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Barangay Fort Bonifacio while another one would be set up near Vista Mall in Barangay Calzada-Tipas.

Meanwhile, the third one will be in the Lakeshore Vaccine Training and Information Center, which the national government earlier hailed as a model facility.

“The addition of these facilities would further expand the local government’s reach once the rollout of its comprehensive vaccination plan commences,” Cayetano said.

He added that the three hubs will be part of the proposed lineup of 40 vaccine centers to be established in the city.

“The target of the City is to be able to establish 200 vaccination teams to vaccinate 630,000 Taguigeños in 60-90 days,” he said.

Cayetano added that these numbers are only estimates based on the projections of the city’s population.

Actual figures will be based on the total registered population as the city is conducting its registration for its residents.

Cayetano said these vaccination hubs are also strategically positioned in Taguig and are easily accessible to residents.

“Our target here is not only speed but safety, efficiency, and accessibility. Our 24-hour hubs and our community vaccine centers will help us hit our objectives, This will open the opportunity for more citizens to get vaccinated and not have them worry about time,” he added. (PNA)
