Grab Philippines continues to widen its geographical footprint as it offers its food delivery service to more cities and municipalities in Bulacan (Meycauayan, Marilao, Bocaue, Malolos, Baliuag, San Ildefonso, San Miguel, and Pulilan), Cavite (Tagaytay, Maragondon, Amadeo, and Gen Emilio Aguinaldo), and Laguna (San Pablo, Santa Cruz, Santa Maria, Sinoloan, Mabitac, Famy, Pakil, Pangil, Paete, and Magdalena). This comes after regular feedback from residents in these areas, requesting for Grab to offer its services so that they too can have access to everyday value, safe and hygienic food delivery service, as well as livelihood opportunities.
“We want to serve and empower even more of our fellow Filipinos with this expansion. Through Grab’s digital platform, expertise, and technology, we can help the residents and local business owners of Bulacan, Cavite, and Laguna to unlock new earning opportunities, boost economic activities within the cities and thereby create a positive impact on their communities,” said Grab Philippines Head of Deliveries Anton Bautista.
Everyday value and convenience, now within reach
As many Filipinos continue to stay at home, GrabFood has been a partner for many Filipinos for their everyday meals and cravings. With GrabFood now available in more areas in Bulacan, Cavite, and Laguna, more consumers can now easily discover new and exciting F&B concepts within these areas, or simply order from a wide range of popular fast-food chains.
As GrabFood’s way of thanking consumers for their support, new GrabFood users can enjoy FREE DELIVERY + P20 OFF when they use the promo code TRYGRABFOOD.
Providing meaningful livelihood opportunities to more Filipinos
Apart from providing everyday value and convenience to consumers, GrabFood’s expansion into these new areas will create much-needed livelihood opportunities for the local merchant- and delivery-partners – contributing to the socio-economic recovery in these new areas.
Grab Philippines will extend its support to help merchant-partners go online and thrive online to local businesses in these new areas. The local business owners can look forward to actionable insights that will help them better tailor their business offerings and seize untapped market opportunities, online tools and solutions to help them better digitalize such as the Grab Online Shop and Campaign Packages, as well as programs like Grab’s Annual Merchant Conference, Grab Merchant Academy, and the upcoming financial literacy program in partnership with the IFC, to help their business become more resilient and thrive amidst changing market conditions.
Grab Philippines will also welcome delivery-partners from these cities and municipalities to get vaccinated in the recently launched Grab-Makati Vaccination Center. Delivery-partners will also benefit from Grab Philippines’ partner-support programs such as GrabCare Package – an assistance program for driver- and delivery-partners ranging from calamity aid, hospital assistance, emergency top-up, and educational assistance for their children, and Ka-Grab Kamustahan Sessions – a virtual townhall attended by Grab Philippines and its driver- and delivery-partners, to help address the partners’ challenges, and brief them on relevant business updates.
Extending its commitment to platform safety and hygiene
Safety and hygiene will continue to be a key priority on the Grab platform. To help minimize the risk of contracting COVID through the platform, Grab Philippines will continue to implement GrabProtect in these new cities and municipalities. GrabProtect is a robust suite of tools, policies, and procedures aimed to ensure the utmost safety and hygiene standards across the Grab platform. As part of GrabProtect, all food deliveries in Bulacan, Cavite, and Laguna will continue to observe a contactless delivery policy for the benefit of both the consumers and delivery-partners.
As part of Grab’s ongoing efforts in raising the safety and hygiene standards in the food delivery industry in the Philippines, merchant- and delivery-partners in Bulacan, Cavite, and Laguna, will also undergo food safety and hygiene training from specialized learning modules co-developed by the Food Safety and Hygiene Academy of the Philippines (FoodSHAP) and Grab Philippines. These modules will include proper food handling, delivery, as well as proper sanitation of delivery vehicles and gears.
