In honor of their humble beginnings, Ninja Van conducted a virtual event via zoom conference with a theme, “Five Years and Beyond,” hosted by TikTok content creator and DJ Show Suzuki on Tuesday, September 28.

The virtual celebration touches the Ninja Van’s history, accomplishments, experiences with employees and consumers, and plans for the future. Also, the event has become a platform for the public to get to know not just Ninja Van’s milestones but also the people behind its five years success story.

The Country Head of Ninja Van PH, Martin Cu took the floor to share how the company became big from nothing until it rose to the pinnacle of success. It has not been an easy road for Ninja Van since their first home is just a mini apartment located in Taguig, however, it’s a worthy journey to look back where they shared all their firsts.

Cu tells how they achieved everything from their first item delivered up to the first flagship store being launched in the country. “Getting into that kind of milestone is something that we also look forward to,” he shared.

Moreover, their success was not attained overnight. Hard work and patience have been their partner since there will be a lot of competitors in this kind of industry.

Chief Operating Officer of Ninja Van, Vinz Perez shared the expectations and challenges they faced that urged them into upgrading the logistic systems of Ninja Van, “Looking back five years ago, a lot has changed really. Apart from talking about the industry itself, it’s also important to talk about how the expectations have changed,” he said.

Perez pointed out how those expectations from the people pushed Ninja Van to have a better service. Through their collective efforts to develop value-added and systemized services for their customers, they have maintained a 7000-strong rider and driver fleet and achieved almost 100% nationwide coverage.

Ninja Van has always been ready to include local businesses in their successful path. Chief Commercial Officer of Ninja Van, Sabina Lopez talked about how they empowered and helped Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) through their service.

Aside from being just a typical delivering company, Ninja Van proved they are more than just that. They provide more services to their customers outside their ability as logistics, in which they help MSME in putting up their own business and become well-known.

“Beyond that, we also started to see that there were a lot of questions they are asking about the business like ‘how do I get my goods,’ ‘how do I manage my website,’ ‘how do I give them a good user experience,’ and a lot of those things what our account management team and our customer service team saw as an opportunity to at least build a better relationship with our clients, become a bit more consultative, become a more relationship-driven and to see how can I really help my client further,” Lopez shared.

For Ninja Van, becoming a shipping company is not just about how they will successfully deliver the parcels on the doorsteps of every house, but it is also about how they made an impact on people.

“The first thing that really is important for all of us in the Ninja Van leadership team and the entire Ninja Van group again is inclusion. We want our solution to be in reach of every Filipino in the country to ensure that our sellers can access their customers whenever they need to,” Cu stated.

After five years of their ride, Cu said that Ninja Van still has a lot to instore for all the people receiving their services. For this year, their aim is to give 100% full coverage in all areas, a full suite of value-added services for MSMEs, and a fantastic service recovery.

“Rather than striving for perfection, the team wants to be the best at ensuring that when something goes wrong, we can make it better than anyone in the industry,” Cu stated.

The logistic industry will never be a perfect one. There will be lapses along the way but, there will always be a solution ready to make up for it.

For those five years on the road of Ninja Van, they have proven that they are worthy and enough to be trusted as one of the biggest shipping companies in the country.
