Biñan, Laguna boosts its protection against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) by placing a decontamination booth in its public market.

Residents going to and from the Biñan Public Market are now required to pass through the decontamination booth provided by the local government unit (LGU). The booth will fully disinfect them upon entering and shall reduce the spread and transmission of COVID-19 in the community.

In a viral Facebook post by Biñan citizen Arthur Azuela Sr., he shared how the decontamination booth takes effect through photos and a video. “Pag mamalengke ka sa bayan ng biñan during window hour ay dadaan ka sa decontamination booth na ito para maiwasan ang pag kalat ng COVID-19. salamat sa pamahalaan lungsod ng biñan,” he wrote.

In addition, Biñan Incident Management Team recently updated the window period to 6 AM to 2 PM. Only persons with quarantine passes and identification cards are allowed to go to the market during said schedule.

As of March 26 (4PM), Department Of Health has reported 707 COVID-19 cases with 45 deaths and 28 recoveries.
