The provincial government, through the Albay Dairy Plant (ADP), on Tuesday started the distribution of pasteurized milk to elementary pupils from various public schools in Camalig town.

A media release of the Albay Information Office said the pasteurized milk was given to 2,652 elementary pupils from four schools — Camalig North Central School, Camalig South Central School, Cotmon Elementary School, and Iluluan Elementary School.

The provincial government prepared four drop-off points where the pasteurized milk would be delivered for an easier and faster process of distribution.

In an interview, Camalig Mayor Carlos Irwin Baldo Jr. thanked the provincial government for the milk-feeding program.

“We thank the province for this initiative. It is heart-warming that they continue to lay out initiatives like this for the children, especially since it is focused towards nutrition and better health,” Baldo said.

He also recognized the province for being active partners in safeguarding the well-being of students.

“I hope you can help more pupils and students in Albay,” he added.
