Davao Oriental Launches ‘Davao Oriental Beautiful’ Tourism Campaign

Davao Oriental has officially launched its new tourism tagline “Davao Oriental Beautiful” to entice more tourists to visit the province, an official said Friday.

In a statement, Governor Corazon Malanyaon said the new tagline forms part of the province’s massive tourism and marketing strategy to further lift Davao Oriental, dubbed as the Davao region’s gateway to the Pacific.

She said the province remains one of the country’s premier tourist destinations for its abundant natural and cultural wealth.

“With this plethora of natural and cultural wonders, ‘Davao Oriental Beautiful’ is more than just a tagline but an identity that sparks a sense of pride for Oriental Dabawenyos,” Malanyaon said.

She noted that from ridge to reef, the province is a treasure-trove of natural beauty spots, such as majestic waterfalls, mystic lakes, and rivers, refreshing hot and cold springs, white-sand beaches, and exciting diving and surfing sites.

As part of the positioning of Davao Oriental as a premier and world-class tourist destination and investment haven, the province hosted the Grand Tourism Summit 2022 in Mati City on October 5 to improve services and promote sustainable tourism in the province.

“We have to take full advantage of the tourism rush,” she said, referring to the forthcoming holiday season. (PNA)
