Davao Region has logged 677 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases from Sept. 19-25, according to the regional Department of Health (DOH-11) office on Tuesday.

In its weekly case bulletin, DOH-11 said the rate is lower by nine percent than the cases reported on Sept. 12-18 at 738.

DOH-11 also reported that only 67 out of 458 new Covid-19 admissions are severe and critical.

Out of the 67, only 43 — or 9.3% of the total admissions—are confirmed cases, while 24 are probable suspects.

“Fourteen death cases were also recorded in the past seven days,” DOH-11 added.

With the current Covid-19 cases, DOH-11 said the region only has 35.6 percent available non-intensive care unit (ICU) beds, while 43.4 percent on the ICU section.

DOH-11 also reported that 3,302,600 individuals or 87 percent of the target population in the Davao Region are fully vaccinated.

“Covid-19 vaccination efforts are continuing throughout the region,” the DOH-11 said. (PNA)
