Members of Task Force on Energy Resiliency (TFER) are now checking energy infrastructure in several areas in Mindanao hit by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake at around 7:37 p.m., Wednesday.

In a statement, the Department of Energy (DOE) said the TFER “is now gathering data on the status of energy facilities.”

“The Department of Energy assures the public of updates on the matter,” it added.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the earthquake, which is tectonic in origin, was felt the most in North Cotabato, with Intensity VII recorded in Kidapawan City. (PNA)
