Miss Universe Philippines 2020 host KC Montero received negative comments from netizens because of his alleged “rude” behavior during his conversation with Miss Bohol.

While Montero was warming Miss Bohol up with a short interview shortly before her turn for the question and answer portion, he asked the candidate how she was, to which she replied that she felt “good”.

She returned the question to the host, and he replied, “No one ever asks me questions.”

This triggered a lot of bashers demanding an explanation from Montero- which he did deliver.

In his tweet, he clarified that huge portion of the part was cut since it was pre-taped.

Pauline Amelinckx of Bohol then backed him up by posting Instagram stories, defending KC Montero by saying that he was a great and engaging host. She added that the small talk calmed her nerves for the Q&A and that some parts of their exchange were cut to accommodate airtime.

Nonetheless, there were still a lot of people who praised the host for doing a great job that night.

Miss Bohol Pauline Amelinckx went on to become the third runner up of the Miss Universe Philippines 2020.
