The most well-known fortune-teller in the country, Madam Auring, has passed away.

This was confirmed by her grandson, Daryl Simon Pecson through an emotional Facebook post,.

In the Facebook entry, he made sure to possitively express his grief by narrating his favorite moments with his lola. “I feel sad and happy. Sad because I will never see you again, your wisdom, your corny jokes, (our) happy bondings, and (your habit of) pinching my cheeks until they become red,” Pecson wrote.

Born with the name Aurea Erfelo, Madam Auring rose to fame when she correctly predicted the winning of Miss universe 1974 Amapro Muñoz. From there on, her streak continued as she also forecasted Muhammad Ali’s win against Joe Frazier in the 1975 “Thrilla in Manila,” as well as the win of Fidel V. Ramos during the presidential elections.

This made her win the hearts of many Filipinos, earning her way into the showbiz industry and giving her the opportunity to work with big artists such as Cherry Pie Picache, Manilyn Reynes, and more. She also starred in the movies “I Will Survive ” and “Family Tree” with them.
