The Philippine Embassy in Beijing, which also represents the Philippines in Mongolia, opened on Monday a photo booth featuring the country’s beaches and diving spots.

Philippine Ambassador to China Jaime FlorCruz invited Mongolians to visit the Philippines amid the winter freeze.

“From your steppes to our shores; from your snow to our sand; come explore and love the Philippines,” FlorCruz said during his speech at the Shangri-la Mall in Ulaanbaatar.

“We invite you to snorkel in Boracay, dive in Palawan, swim with the sardines or watch the whale shark in Cebu,” he added.

The photo booth titled “Explore and Love the Philippines” will run until Dec. 14, 2024.

FlorCruz noted it is important to introduce Philippine beaches, dive spots, coral reefs, and underwater sceneries to Mongolians since Mongolia is landlocked in Northeast Asia.

“Our country is the World’s Leading Dive Destination by the 2024 World Travel Awards six years in a row. Aside from this, the World Travel Awards recognized Boracay as the World’s Leading Luxury Island Destination, and Amanpulo as the World’s Leading Dive Resort,” he said.

The Philippine Embassy hopes to spark interest among the Mongolian public to visit the Philippines by showcasing the breathtaking images of the country, he added.

Apart from the photo booth opening, FlorCruz also joined the Christmas gathering of the Filipino community in Ulaanbaatar. (PNA)
