In line with its ongoing efforts to make the service more effective, the Philippine Army (PA) on Thursday announced that it has formally launched the “Philippine Army Logistics Management Information System” (PALMIS), which is expected to optimize operations within the organization.

This took place during the Supply Management Information System (SUMIS) Operator’s Training on March 26, PA spokesperson Col. Louie Dema-ala said in a statement sent to reporters.

“The logistics management information system PALMIS is a system designed to provide real-time access to critical inventory data, enabling PA major units to directly input and update their organic logistics data onto the platform,” he said when asked for a background on this latest innovation.

PALMIS, Dema-ala added, is an enhanced digital solution that is a vital tool for optimizing logistics operations across the PA.

He added that this ensures that resources are accurately tracked and efficiently managed in an increasingly complex and fast-paced operational environment.

“With PALMIS, the PA redefines logistics management, laying the groundwork for more agile and responsive operational capabilities. The system will be the backbone of logistical operations across the Army, enabling faster decision-making and more effective resource allocation for the force,” Dema-ala pointed out.

Systems like PALMIS, he added, are part of the PA’s efforts to strengthen its commitment to national security and progress.

Dema-ala also pointed out that leveraging innovative technologies like PALMIS highlights the PA’s dedication to protecting the Filipino people and securing the nation’s future. (PNA)
