PAGEONE Group CEO, Dr. Ron Jabal, DBA, APR, has been recognized as a finalist in the Best Opinion Column category at the 46th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA).

This is for his impactful column, “Shared Values,” published in BusinessWorld that focuses on sustainability issues and features initiatives on corporate social responsibilities of companies in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

Now in its 46th year, the CMMA celebrates excellence in media across multiple platforms, including radio, print, television, and film. Established by the Archdiocese of Manila in 1978, the awards honor the critical role of communicators in promoting human values and fostering responsible media practices. The CMMA continues to adapt to the evolving landscape of communication while recognizing individuals who contribute to values-driven media in the Philippines.

Dr. Jabal’s “Shared Values” column is widely respected for its thought-provoking discussions on pressing societal issues, such as women’s representation in business, gender inclusivity, environmental reforms, and responsible consumerism.

This year, his column generated attention from leaders in government, business, and civil society, for his emphasis on the need for feminizing boardrooms and highlights the implications of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) law, underlining the importance of conscious consumerism in today’s market.

In expressing his gratitude for this CMMA citation, Dr. Jabal stated, “I am deeply honored to be selected as a finalist in this esteemed awards ceremony. It is a testament to the power of dialogue and the commitment to addressing crucial issues in our society. I hope that through my work, I can inspire others to engage in meaningful conversations and drive positive change.

The winners of the 46th Catholic Mass Media Awards will be announced via Facebook post. To see the full list of finalists visit their official Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/OfficialCMMA.
