Vice President Leni Robredo led the formal opening of the second site of The Oasis Project in Quirino Memorial Medical Center on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

An initiative under the Office of the Vice President’s COVID-19 Response Operations, The Oasis Project provides temporary shelters for medical frontliners.

The project was made possible by the OVP’s collaboration with private sector partners, with a shared vision of creating a “haven” where frontliners can “rest and recharge” amid the challenges brought by COVID-19.

These include the following: Rotary Club of San Juan del Monte; IKEA Philippines; Architect Peach Buencamino; interior designers Ivy and Cynthia Almario; Shirley Sanders of Gardens by Sanders; Ronnie Traballo of Bomanite; Elizabeth Cheng; Nippon Paint; the 51st Engineering Brigade of the Philippine Army; Matrix Appliances PH; Philip and Sherwin Yao of Graceline Furniture; Aboitiz Foundation; Pangilinan Fabric and Leather Supply; Zendaya Emmanuel Go; Majie, Mhay, Alaine and Queenie of CCBA KAMATIS; and Tin Bejar, Gel Bejar, and Marie Catalan.
