Kindness is something that really can’t be replaced by any material thing, as a delivery rider willingly offered his additional tip to buy medicine for his unwell customer.

Food delivery has become one of the greatest conveniences for people to buy food, especially when the location is too far. Most customers would tip riders for their service.

In relation to this, Ivy Marie Castro posted on a Facebook group about her great delivery experience with the delivery driver, Acie Cezar.

In her posted screenshot, she messaged Cezar with a request for her food delivery, asking him to buy medicine for her.

“Okay po, one more request, sir. Paakyat po ako sa 2nd floor masama po kasi pakiramdam ko hindi ako makabuhat ng baby pababa. Add nalang po ako tip,” Castro said in her message.

Unwell in feeling and taking care of her baby was a doubling task for Castro, which made her ask for the request from Castro.

While most drivers would accept this tip, Cezar chose the customer’s health over it. “Kahit ‘wag na po kayo mag-tip, ma’am, pambili niyo nalang po gamot ‘yan,” He replied to Castro.

Castro was thankful for Cezar’s understanding as she posted the screenshot of the conversation with the caption, “Shout out po kay Rider Acie D. Cezar 1st time ko po maka-encounter ng ganito sa Foodpanda Gusto ko lang ipakita appreciation ko. Thank you po More Bookings!”

Sharing this kindness from a delivery rider, other Facebook group members also disclosed their personal experiences, which are the same as what happened to Castro.

“It was a rainy night tapos no electricity kaya nag decide ako mag book nalang via food panda tapos around 15 minutes tumawag yung rider sakin para update na on the way na sya sa appartment ko. Kaso nung pa punta na sya nasiraan motor nya midway. Kaya, what she did was super galing, kasi some riders would’ve cancelled the booking, kaso sya naghanap sya ng way maideliver sakin,” a netizen shared.

The said post was seen by the delivery rider himself, who expressed his gratitude for his customer’s message.

His simple follow-up request shows he values his customers more than the service that is required from him, but also the importance of their health.
