The Philippine team proved that they can reign both in a personal game and in its virtual version as the eGilas confirmed its spot in the upcoming world championship this November.

During the elimination, the Filipino athletes already showcased their talent after recording a perfect 8-0 against their rivals. After the elimination round, the eGilas swept off their opponent, Indonesia, and were able to score 2-0 during the finals with a score of 59-55 during the first game and 57-41 in the second game.

With this outstanding win from the Philippine team, the athletes were able to clinch the regional eFIBA title and secure their spot for the world championship this November 25–26 in Sweden.

The win also marked a milestone for the country, as the Philippines is now the leading team in the eFIBA Cup.

The eGilas team is composed of Clark Banzon, Isaiah Alindada, Kenneth Gutierrez, Julian Mallillin, Prich Diez, and Coach Nite Alparas.

The eFIBA event held its regional qualifiers from October 3 to November 2 and had its regional finals from November 7 to 9, involving countries from Southeast Asia, Oceania, the Middle East, Africa, North America, South America, and Europe.
