President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday led the government’s initiatives to open more jobs and offer medical services and affordable commodities to Camarines Sur province.

Speaking to jobseekers and those availing of medical services and looking for cheaper products, Marcos said the Trabaho at Serbisyong Pangkalusugan sa Bagong Pilipinas held at the Fuerte CamSur Sports Complex in Pili town is an inter-agency drive providing immediate government assistance and services to various beneficiaries.

All these services are provided for the people because, as you know, there are many who are in need today),” he said.

The world is a bit chaotic now. There are many changes that we need to study and provide solutions for. That is why we first look at what is the best service we can provide to the people),” Marcos added.

Marcos congratulated those who were hired on the spot and expressed hope that other job applicants would also get employed.

He also thanked the private employers who took part in the job fair.

This is a great opportunity that we are bringing to the people so that those who have yet to find a job will have a good job),” he said.

Marcos also thanked the Bicol medical personnel who manned the medical mission in Camarines Sur where over 600 participated.

He said the government would continue offering free health services to the people to ensure their good health and keep them safe from any illness or disease.

He added that the Kadiwa stalls were brought to the province to offer basic necessities at affordable prices.

And in our opinion, this is what is most important to each of us, that our health is good, that we are strong, that we are not sick, that we have many jobs so that we can have a good living, that we can buy necessities that are a little cheaper, not as expensive as in other places),” Marcos said.

Around 3,000 jobseekers who are graduating beneficiaries of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program participated in the job fair, featuring 2,365 job vacancies from 23 participating employers.

The Department of Labor and Employment also distributed PHP3,950 each to 788 beneficiaries under its ‘Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers’ or TUPAD Program.

The Department of Health (DOH) also conducted a medical mission, offering dental care, medical check-ups, ophthalmology services, dermatology services, ears, nose and throat (ENT) check-ups and immunization services, including routine and pneumonia vaccinations.

The DOH also provided nutrition programs and distributed various medicines and medical supplies worth PHP2.49 million to the six provinces of the Bicol Region. (PNA)
